Unidym’s Carbon Nanotube Characteristics

The primary structural characteristics of Unidym’s carbon nanotubes are typically considered to be short thin single wall nanotubes (SWNT) with a high degree of entanglement. They have a natural tendency to form into ropes and rope structures. An atomic force microscope (AFM) analysis of the typical grade that is used in our films shows an average length less than 2 microns and 99% less than 5 microns. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) images also show that our film products consist of densely-tangled mats of carbon nanotube ropes.
