Unidym X Grades - Application Specific Carbon Nanotubes
Unidym can supply grades of carbon nanotubes tailored for specific industrial applications ("Unidym X Grades"). These grades have different primary (molecular), secondary and tertiary particle features, including various purities, morphologies, chemical functionality, thermal stability, electrical conductivity and other application driven nanotube properties.

Examples include the conductive polymer grades, field emission grade, mechanical grade, thermal grade, supercapacitor electrode grade, metal/ceramic matrix grade, and many others.

Conductive Polymer Grades (XD, XM)
The following grades are designed for melt blending into thermoplastics or elastomers using traditional polymer processing equipment (Brabenders, twin-screw extruders, etc.) to achieve a wide range of electrical conductivity at low loading levels (typically < 3wt%). Unidym is currently scaling some of these grades to the 100 lb/day level.

These grades are available in multi-kilogram quantities for research and development purposes. Please contact us for more information. $1000 minimum order please.

XM Grade XD Grade
XM Grade is designed for EMI conductivity requirements.



XD Grade is designed for ESD conductivity requirements.




Field Emission Grade (XCE)
The following grade is designed for incorporation into electron field emission pastes that are used in field emission displays, field emission backlighting for LCDs and other electron devices.

These grades are available in kilogram quantities for research and development purposes. Please contact us for more information.

XCE Grade
XCE Grade is designed for electron field emission paste requirements.





Unidym Research Grades
The following grades are produced using Unidym proprietary modified gas phase processes and are targeted at fundamental research and high value, specialty applications.

HIPCO® Single-wall Carbon Nanotube Grades
As Produced HIPCO® Single-Wall Carbon Nanotubes Purified HIPCO® Single-Wall Carbon Nanotubes
HIPCO® Single-wall carbon nanotubes that have not undergone any post processing. <35wt% ash content.

Double-wall Carbon Nanotube Grades
UNIDYM® Double-wall Carbon Nanotubes are nested (endohedral or endotopic) SWNTs, i.e., one tubular fullerene nested inside another tubular fullerene.
Purified Double-Wall Carbon Nanotubes
Double-wall carbon nanotubes that have been purified to remove large catalyst particles. <5wt% ash content.
